2015 Subaru WRX and WRX STI Earns Top Safety Pick Award

It was recently announced that the 2015 Subaru WRX and WRX STI have been awarded the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety 2014 Top Safety Pick. Both the 2015 WRX and WRX STI gave an outstanding performance in the crashworthiness evaluations. The 2015 WRX and WRX STI will be arriving at Maxwell Subaru in Burlington, NC in the near future.

Subaru has more 2014 IIHS Top Safety picks than any brand. Six other Subaru models have earned the 2014 safety awards as including the Legacy and outback.

According to president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Thomas J. Doll, "Safety is one of our brand tenets and so we are extremely proud to have earned a TSP rating for our performance models"

The Big Debut of the 2015 Subaru Outback

The 2015 Subaru Outback made its debut at the New York Auto Show recently. The 2015 Subaru Outback comes in two styles, the 2.5i and 3.6R, both coming to Maxwell Subaru in North Carolina.

Buyers can opt for either the 175-horsepower 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder boxer engine, or a 256-horsepower 3.6-liter boxer 6 engine. Both will be paired with a C.V.T. and six gear ratios plus steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Built bigger and better, the new Outback has an additional 2.7 cubic-feet of cargo space.  Subaru’s venerated asymmetrical all-wheel-drive system is standard. Also new for the 2015 model is Active Torque Vectoring and off-road oriented ‘X-Mode’. This new addition engages automatic hill climb and hill descent when taking on a steep incline.

Subaru takes it to the Track with the 2015 WRX STI

Racer Mark Higgins will be returning to the Isle of Man TT Races with the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI. Higgins will attempt to beat his own fastest car lap time that was achieved two years ago in the 2011 Subaru WRX STI.

For the race this year the 2015 Subaru WRX STI will have a roll-cage, race harness, fire suppression system and modified springs and dampers to handle an approximate average speed of 115.36 miles per hour.

The New 2015 Subaru Outback has Been Spotted

The new 2015 Subaru Outback, making its way to Maxwell Subaru in North Carolina, has been spotted in Europe! The first spy shots show a similar combined wagon/CUV look we are used to with the current Outback yet it is difficult to tell what redesigned elements have been put in place.

The spy shots do reveal similar door-mounted mirrors, creased hood and angular headlights as the new Legacy. You can also see that the windshield appears to be steeper and the rear taillights seem thinner.

Rumor has it that the new 2015 Subaru Outback will use the revised 2.5-liter four-cylinder paired with a 3.6-liter boxer six-cylinder. Other rumors indicate that a smaller six-cylinder and turbocharged four-cylinder will be used. I guess we will just have to wait and see!

The new 2015 Subaru Outback is set to make its debut at the New York Auto Show in April. Besides an exterior styling update, the 2015 Subaru Outback will feature liquid-filled engine mounts, an acoustic glass windshield, and increased sound deadening interior tech.

2015 Subaru Legacy Coming to Maxwell Subaru

Subaru is making big strides this year by releasing the plans for the 2015 Subaru Legacy. This luxury car will arrive in Chicago February of 2014 with more definite features and options than the teasers that everyone has been hearing about. 

It is very possible that the 2015 Subaru Legacy will feature a 170-hp 2.5-liter F-4 serving as the base engine and also a hybrid powertrain. While there is not much concrete information about this vehicle, the 2015 Subaru Legacy is sure to be another big hit for Subaru.

Subaru gets an Upgrade for 2015 Model- Maxwell Subaru

For the 2015 model year, Subaru is getting a major upgrade for its EyeSight assistance camera system. The 2015 Subaru coming to Maxwell Subaru in North Carolina will have an improved EyeSight assistance system making it a safer vehicle on the streets in North Carolina.

The updated EyeSight driver assistance camera system will reduce its size by 15% making it easier for the driver to see. The new system will offer approximately 40 percent longer and wider detection range and brake light detection.

Using two color cameras, the EyeSight will have quicker reaction time and function more smoothly. EyeSight will also offer adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and pre-collision breaking.

In addition to the EyeSight upgrades, the new Subaru will also have safety assist systems such as Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert system. With new safety technologies plus the upgraded EyeSight driver assistance camera system, the 2015 Subaru will be a popular choice among buyers at Maxwell Subaru.
